You have to be able to adapt when camping in tough terrain, and the Sierra Convert 2 helps you get it done with ease. The tent boasts a single-wall, waterproof-breathable Drizone material that blocks the elements, along with an ingenious system that lets you finish building the tent from the inside--a nice option if it's stormy outside. If you're looking to move quickly and go light, you can remove the optional vestibule, which drops the weight to 4 pounds 6 ounces. It's the perfect companion for any two-person adventure.
The Convert 2-person tent with fly and vestibule. | Features: - Airflow vent system: This venting system allows air to circulate throughout the tent when needed. It also features an angled design with a mesh backing, so rain or snow will not get in.
- Color-coded webbing: The color-coded webbing guides the pole placement for a quick, easy setup. Made of durable, lightweight nylon, the webbing also assists with quick rainfly setup.
- DAC Featherlite NSL poles: These thick-diameter, thin-walled poles offer more strength and less weight than many other poles, with the best strength-to-weight ratio of any pole available today. The pole's unique joining insert, meanwhile, allows for a cleaner, smoother transition in Reverse Combi Technology (RCT).
- Drizone waterproof/breathable fabric: This award-winning fabric is made of 40-denier nylon, with a two-layer laminate that's designed to let air escape while keeping Mother Nature's moisture out.
- Internal pole sleeves with external pole feed: This fast and convenient pole setup can be completed without requiring you to move around the tent, making it valuable on tight edges.
- Lightweight fly material: The 40-denier, 1.94-ounce high-tenacity nylon construction offers a 246 thread count in a ripstop weave. The UV-protected fly also boasts silicon coating that's lightweight and waterproof, with a 1,500 mm polyurethane undercoating that adds to the durability and water tightness.
- Locking pole tips: A Sierra Designs innovation, these pole tips stay locked in the grommet for a faster, easier setup.
- Nite Ize Figure 9 rope tighteners: Fast and easy, the Figure 9 provides perfect tensioning every time; simply secure the line through the eye anywhere along the line, pull to adjust the tension, and secure.
- Reflective door binding: By adding wide, reflective binding around the doors, Sierra's four-season tents are extremely reflective in your headlamps during low-visibility conditions.
- Removable Jake's Corners: Jake's Corners eliminate pole rotation that can lead to pole failure in extreme conditions. This also allows for a smaller overall footprint without sacrificing usable space.
- Sew-free windows: These windows employ bonded tape to create a stronger, lighter window than traditional sewn-and-sealed versions. This allows Sierra to place the windows in the most optimal location on a tent fly.
- SuperSeal floor: Combining the benefits of catenary and bathtub floors, the SuperSeal floor offers a raised, taped perimeter seam that's guaranteed waterproof. The floor also maintains a tighter pitch with a better wind line to prevent flapping.
- Swift Clips: This Sierra innovation allows campers to stake the tent before attaching the body to the pole structure.
- Tent Guard with Ultra Fresh: Applied as part of the PU coating on Sierra's rain flies, floors, and footprints, Tent Guard extends the life of a tent by thwarting mold, mildew, and fungus. The Tent Guard is particularly valuable on extended trips or in damp climates, as it protects a tent if it's packed or stored temporarily while wet.
