    This vest was bought to upgrade because my son outgrew the smaller one we had. The vest says 50-90 lbs...my boy has a very skinny built 49-50 lb frame...the vest seems to fit very tight..I think any child with any kind of belly willHave a hard time zipping it up...I advise going to the store and fit checking first..this vest does not have a strap that goes under their bottom like the smaller children's vests did.
