SOG SOGFari Machete, 13" is great for clearing brush and blazing trails. This machete features a kraton handle for extended use and comfort. A real working saw was added on the back of the blade with teeth that cut deep. Extended out of the back of the handle is a spiked tang for pounding and scraping.

I purchased this to cut paths to the river, I needed a machete that would be small and portable. This tool satisfies those needs. It cut through itchweed, ivy and other tall weeds with ease. It seems well made for my purposes using it for around 10 times per year it should last a while. I tried the saw and while its no "cross cut", it makes efficient use of the blade and will work. This fits in my day pack and is fairly light. Totally satisfied, cannot comment on stitching for the sheath, it is designed well though, tough nylon.
