Light magnification in dark situations is great, clarity is great, distance magnification is great, when you eliminate the jittery effect from being hand held, but I expected this, no the binoculars fault they really need a stand. Haven't hand them out in the kayak yet to see how water proof they are and if I'm lucky I won't ever be able to tell anyone that one way or the other, won't happen but I can hope. Only complaint at all, is the carring case does not come with a neck strap, the glasses do, but not the case, and when carrying them to and from the car I like to keep them in the case becasue you are always carring something else and you need that little protection in case you trip. It does have a belt loop, but if you're sitting down in a kayak or canoe the case gets in the way then, you undo your belt and take it all off. Otherwise they are everything I thought they would be and more.
