Great overall product and great value given the cost of individual items and how hard they are to find locally. This kit contains everything a person needs for all types of prospecting - except luck, of course.The manual was instructive, but as a writer I could have done without the hokey writing which almost insults anyone who lives in Appalachia or the Western U. S. but effectively demonstrates prospecting techniques.The kit contains many items I would not have thought to include (including a crevice tool, tweezers, black sand magnet, snuffer bottle and tweezers). I added the pinpointer from my new Bounty Hunter II metal detector (both work great), and a Garmin E-Trex trail GPS. I also learned the hard way to wear waders and learned that my meteorite stick can be improvised to help me dig myself out of hip-deep mud after a struggle.Prospecting is a lot of hard, back-breaking work (especially for beginners) but I've now got "Gold Fever" and can't wait to use it again even though I found only black sand (where there is black sand, there is often gold) the first time.
