I carefully followed the directions that came with the compass and it was definitely off directionally. I re-calibrated it several times. This compass never would point north, with or without declination adjusted.I asked my techie friend to calibrate the compass and his results matched mine exactly. In desperation, I asked my teenager to try it and he too got the same results.The instuctions were clear to understand. The buttons were easy to use. If it had worked correctly I would like it a lot. It does me not a great deal of good to know that the compass points to the kinda sorta northwest-ish instead of straight north.I will be returning it.
