Do not trust this saw to be put in your survival bag! I am a wilderness survival teacher and run my own school in Houghton, MI. I picked up this saw to test out and it seemed to work well. I only cut a few times with it. I decided to put it through the chain of tests that I always do with my gear I put in my survival bag. If I am going to trust a product with my life, I am going to make sure it works very well.I cut a few pieces of wood fine, the blade is very sharp and does not bend too easily if you know how to saw properly, but after the third piece of firewood being cut, the screw holding the blade in place came undone and was lost hopelessly in the debris under where I was cutting.I gave it two stars instead of one because the blade is very sharp, the construction needs to be much better in order for me to trust my life with it though.
