I grew up fishing with these rod and reels and still will not buy anything else. If your fishing lakes, ponds, and creeks you dont need anything else. They have metal gears and will last you a life time if you take care of it. Dont need to spend anymore than $25 on a reel I promise because this is the best reel that you can buy for the money hands down.
