Got as gift for 5 year old child. She really loved it as she wanted something for a "big girl". I think it would be reasonably warm but probably best used indoors on cabin type camping trips or at sleepovers. It is rather big for a child, but I figured its better to have something she can grow into. The fabric is very soft and nice and there is a decent amount of padding. The only bad thing is that the zippers tend to get caught in the fabric when zipping. This is especially true when you try to convert it to a mummy style bag. Its not a huge issue for us, but it does frustrate my 5 year old. The hood zips off and the hood and bag cinch in to keep you warmer. One other minor issue is that the bag it comes with is not a "stuff sack" but rather you have to roll up the sleeping bag and put the two sides of the cover over each end, then fasten in the middle. I'd rather have a true stuff sack. Overall, decent quality for the price and my daughter loved it!
