This is a pretty good vest, all told. Not great, but worth the price. The only two things that should be noted are first that the mesh backing offers very little support to whatever you have attached to the PALS webbing, so it tends to flop around a bit, and second that the hydration pocket is three inches too short to fit a standard-sized hydration pouch (both 2L and 3L). I ended up taking my small hydration pack and attaching it with cheap spring clips instead. I also saw a video review elsewhere where someone had received one of these with a flap sewn onto the pistol mag pouch backwards, but this was not the case on mine. Just be aware that that could happen. Besides that, it's very adjustable in many dimensions (and the adjustment straps have their own velcro keepers), cool in the heat, very comfortable to wear, and all in all a good value for the price. I only wish that the hydration pouch was the right size, and that the shoulders could be brought in a bit. You can let them out for extra space, but I found myself wanting them shorter.
