There is nothing fancy to this. It's a fluid-filled compass and it points toward north. I'm going to use it to help me with geocaching, since my GPS unit does not show a compass.The bezel is twistable and it has a transparent board that it is mounted to.Although the site shows that this isn't available in stores, it is and for less than half the price. That's where I purchased mine from. This one says Stansport, and the one in the store says "Outdoor Products", but they are the identical product.
